Does anyone know the copyright status for the TV shows produced by The Du Mont network. The Network went out of business in 1956, so it is possible that many of their shows entered the public domain. Also, If they are public domain, could the archive start a collection of them. I've noticed the archive Mostly has obscure stuff, and the Du Mont network is pretty obsure. Heres a Partial list of what Du Mont Shows exist:

Hi,

If anyone has this stuff, and it's in the public domain, we'd love to have it.

If you do have some of these items, please post here and we'll try to ascertain whether we can put them in the archive.

Thanks,

Alexis

Not trying to be a smart-aleck, this is a real suggestion: the son of the founder of the DuMont network is Bruce DuMont, a talk show host who was (if not still is) based out of Chicago... Maybe ask him?
